A children's book idea about asking questions - whys and hows children need to think about in order to learn. This one is about the things that animals eat. What do they eat? Have you ever wondered if piglets eat jelly beans? Seems silly to ask that question now but kid's imaginations are free. 

 

As this is an ongoing project and I am showing just a portion, I will say that these pages are really mockups. Place holders. I would like to have these illustrations be the basis for their questions, and then towards the end start concluding with what thse animals can eat so that they don't get sick. 

 

The drawing technique was to develop texture and color on each image, pairing the animal with their own candy. And then I scanned these drawing onto the computer and used software to make these mockups. It's been a fun journey, almost portraiture, and fun to see where it will lead.
